Jewels sketch night at the Society of Illustrators

I always have such a great time when I manage to go. Need to do more of this before the summer is over. The costumes were really fun.

Life drawing at the Society of Illustrators

This is many months after I did this sketch session, on August 13 of 2013. Need to make more time for more drawing in my life, seriously.

Objects in January

Random objects drawn in January.

The Cloisters and Orlando

The Cloisters are really awesome! At the end of the year, I met my sister and mother in Orlando over winter break, where we have some sketches from Disney World and Universal Studios.

Life Drawing at the Society of Illustrators – July 31st

How exciting! Two models, and a first foray into dip pens and the Kuretake brush pen. I think this is going to be my new favorite sketching combo for a while.

Sketches from mostly June, and one July

Governor’s Island and Brooklyn Museum, and sketching with the Central Park sketchers.

Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art Session

Burlesque life drawing! One of my favorite activities: always fun, colorful, and with exciting costumes :)

Spring Break in New York, March 2012

I decided to stay in New York over spring break, since I was never able to explore that much of it when school is in session. I finally got the chance to do a few sketches, including Central Park’s Bethesda Terrace, a show at Cafe Wha, and the Brooklyn Bridge from the Brooklyn Bridge Park.
